Wilford Lane closed for tramway works
The tramway will cross Wilford Lane on the level. The Great Central Railway, whose alignment the tramway follows, once crossed here on a bridge. The railway embankments either side of Wilford Lane were removed in 2012.

Footpath Closed
As the embankment here has to be removed to make way for the new tramway, it would have been impossible to retain the footpath. The formal closure notice lies on the ground under the fence. It will be reinstated when construction is complete.
