Northern Centre for Cancer Care and Renal Services Centre
This is the "Northern Centre for Cancer Care and Renal Services Centre" at the Freeman Hospital, part of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Sir Bobby Robson has a very strong link to this centre in that "The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation" has funded many important facilities here.
Sir Bobbys Foundation aimed to raise £500,000, within two weeks it had raised £260,000. In less than a year it had raised over £1 million. The Foundation is still raising money.

Beechwood House, accommodation for Freeman Hospital
Contained within this small block of flats at the rear of the Hospital is a flat maintained by the charity LIVErNORTH for liver patients, their relatives or carers. This facility is intended for people who find frequent travelling to and from the hospital either too difficult (because of the time it takes) or too expensive (because of the distance).
My wife & children stayed here for two weeks when I had a liver transplant in 2008.

Cube Cargo Hybrid bike
Seen on the cycle racks at the rear of the Freeman Hospital. Cargo bikes are a common sight in cycle-friendly countries like the Netherlands and Denmark but rare in this country. Propelled by a combination of human pedal power and electrical assistance. The basic box at the front which comes as standard has been supplemented with twin child seats and a rain cover.
