A new riverside development of retirement flats by the developer McCarthy and Stone on land beside the River Wansbeck in Morpeth. A garage and car dealership previously occupied the site, the buildings they occupied were demolished several years before construction started on this development.

Looking along Castle Bank to the bridge at Morpeth
View north along the street to the bridge over the river Wansbeck and into Morpeth town centre. This was the former Great North Road, and explains the Toll House on the left hand side. The spire is on the Presbyterian church of St George.

Morpeth First School
A primary school in Morpeth. I felt extremely uncomfortable taking pictures here even though my Grandson attends the school.There were signs on the school gates prohibiting the taking of photographs within the school boundaries.
