Rutherfords, Morpeth
If Smails http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1941699 is my favourite shop then this is certainly my wife's. A large department store where she can browse and dream for hours and then end up bringing home a bar of soap.

Tulips and traffic, Bridge Street, Morpeth
As well as being the towns main shopping street the road is also an important thoroughfare for traffic through the centre of the town. Tulips, currently in flower are growing in containers on the road side.

Queens Head Hotel, Morpeth
Situated at the top end of Bridge Street. The top end is the Western end,( sorry for the poor English) I know that Bridge Street has a slight incline so I refer to the top of the hill as the top of the street.

Entrance to Sanderson Arcade, Morpeth
Looking at the entrance to the relatively new Sanderson Arcade shopping centre in Morpeth. The small arcade contains a number of shops and is located on the site of a former Sanderson Arcade and the Back Riggs shopping centre.

Bridge Street is the main shopping street in Morpeth. The road is also a busy thoroughfare for traffic so a pedestrian crossing is necessary for crossing the road at busy times.

Old buildings on Bridge Street, Morpeth
Some nice old buildings here on the north side of the street, on either side of Specsavers. The right hand one is No 19, the Old Herald Office and is an early 18th century shop and newspaper office. The arched entry on the right leads to the Herald Office yard. On the other side of Specsavers is No 15, an early 19th century house now offices. It has original iron railings outside.
