Approaching Cowgate junction from the north
A busy junction on one of the main routes into the centre of Newcastle. Until the end of 2015 the junction took the form of a large roundabout with subways underneath for pedestrians. It has since been reconfigured into a traffic light controlled junction without the roundabout and subways.
