The word 'bank' is carved over the arched doorway, and the building retains an ATM, but it has now become an extension of Claire's convenience store.

Sign for The Railway Hotel, Church Street
See Image The old sign is shown in Image and Image Unfortunately, the train depicted in the sign is unlikely to have been seen at Haydon Bridge station, as it's a Great Western Railway (GWR) 0-4-2 1400 tank engine http://www.greatwestern.org.uk/m_in_042.htm (although I don't think that they were ever painted brown) pulling coaches in GWR "Chocolate and Cream" livery http://www.gwr.org.uk/liverieschoccream.html . A map of the GWR system is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Western_Railway#/media/File:GWR_map.jpg . See also Image (photographed by Ben Brooksbank).
