See Image The old sign is shown in Image and Image Unfortunately, the train depicted in the sign is unlikely to have been seen at Haydon Bridge station, as it's a Great Western Railway (GWR) 0-4-2 1400 tank engine http://www.greatwestern.org.uk/m_in_042.htm (although I don't think that they were ever painted brown) pulling coaches in GWR "Chocolate and Cream" livery http://www.gwr.org.uk/liverieschoccream.html .
