As rumour has it even though it's a listed building, the council are going to demolish it in 2010 and build offices on the site
Can this be legal when it was paid for by subscription by the Palmers Workforce as a gift to the working class of the town?

This is the only old building that is left in Ormonde Street now, of what used to be the main shopping thoroughfare in Jarrow.
