Traffic-free cycle route passing Burnopfield
The cycle route is at least in part along the track of a disused railway. Reference to the map and the general appearance on the ground surely shows that this stretch is ex-railway track bed. Burnopfield is close at hand, hidden by the trees ahead to the left. The route is obviously used as a path too!

Burnopfield Methodist Church
According to the website, http://www.swtyneside.org.uk/churches/burnopfield-methodist-church, "Burnopfield Methodist Church was built in 2000 and stands on the site of the old Haswell Memorial Chapel". The date of construction being the year 2000 might account for the omission from OS maps of a church symbol at this location. The buildings associated with the church are seen from the car park at the rear of the complex. The church itself is below the longer of two skyline ridges.
