Durham Constabulary polices the area of County Durham and Darlington Borough, which together occupy an area of 2,232 sq. km. The area is predominantly rural, with more than half of its residents living in settlements of less than 10,000 people. There are 12 main towns and over 260 small towns and villages, many of which are former colliery villages. The population of the constabulary area is estimated to be 604,900 (ONS mid year estimate 2007), of which 1.2% are from ethnic minority groups

I am the Sergeant in charge of Stanley neighbourhood team. I have worked my whole policing career in response and have recently moved the neighbourhood policing. I will do everything I can to help the local community and to do this I will be working with partner agencies and support services to assist the team in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in the area
I am a Police Inspector approaching 25 years’ service. I began my career as a constable on front line response working at Consett, then Stanley before spending many years in pretty much every location with Durham Constabulary. I have worked within the training environment mentoring new recruits to degree standard and spent many shifts as a custody Sergeant before joining Stanley and Consett as the Neighbourhood Inspector in May 2025. I remain extremely enthused and motivated to continue the fabulous work the neighbourhood teams and our dedicated partners do to drive performance, protect, and ensure our communities are a safer and more enjoyable place to live.
I am a Police Constable with just under 6 years service in Durham Constabulary, starting my career in 2019. I joined my current post, on the Neighbourhoods in January 2025 after working Just over 5 and a half years on Response covering Stanley and the surrounding areas. I am looking forward to being able to bring this previous experience with me to my new position.
I am Police Constable Josh White, and I have worked for Durham Police for 5 years. The areas I cover are Town Havannah, Shield Row, No Place as well as the surrounding area. I actively patrol the area engaging with the community, listening to any concerns whilst continuously taking positive action tackling local issues to reduce crime.

I am the PCSO for New Kyo, Annfield Plain, Catchgate and Harelaw. I have worked in this role for Durham Constabulary for over five years. I do my best to increase public confidence and tackle issues within the community, by working with those around me. I like to be out and about engaging with people. I'm also very good at remembering faces, which helps me a lot in this job!
