Burnopfield Methodist Church
According to the website, http://www.swtyneside.org.uk/churches/burnopfield-methodist-church, "Burnopfield Methodist Church was built in 2000 and stands on the site of the old Haswell Memorial Chapel". The date of construction being the year 2000 might account for the omission from OS maps of a church symbol at this location.
The buildings associated with the church are seen from the car park at the rear of the complex. The church itself is below the longer of two skyline ridges.

Roadside Pant
On the B6314 near the end of its climb into Burnopfield, this fountain (with electric light!) was erected in 1905 in memory of a respected local resident, known especially for his "kindness to dumb animals".
