A substantial Victorian terrace on the east side of this three-sided square. The North London Line forms the south side, although currently construction work is taking place to build on a raft over the railway.

Alex Cafe, Islington
Located on Liverpool Road, opposite the junction with Highbury Station Road. A traditional workman's cafe, affectionately known as a greasy spoon, offering hearty meals for the sort of prices that would barely buy a cup of coffee in trendier establishments. Even so, crusty bread, baguettes and jacket potatoes suggest that they have moved with the times.
