Affordable Housing Apartments Being Built on Cannons Close
This is one of two apartment blocks crammed onto a tiny plot on the corner of Cannons Close and The Bishops Avenue. So squashed in are they that they appear to have hardly any garden. This is the rear of Eliot House (2015). The apartments have now been completed and three of them are currently (January 2018) for sale for £5.5M, £6.5M and £10M

One of two private cul-de-saq's along Hampstead Lane. The barriers prevent unwanted persons from accessing. There is a manned security office just out of shot on the left - very Checkpoint Charlie!

The Towers, a Glimpse Through an Overgrown Garden
This large disused house stands on a large plot in Bishops Avenue. Many similar houses on this road are also disused as they are owned by speculative investors and are not used as homes. The same sized plot next door has five luxury houses crammed into it so perhaps this house will be demolished and half a dozen smaller but still very expensive houses will be put up in its place

Parking on Hampstead Lane
A warm spring Saturday. Parking along Hampstead Lane is a popular choice for those visiting Kenwood House and Hampstead Heath. The sign on the lamp post warns motorists that thieves operate in the area.

East Finchley : Oak Lodge, Bishop's Avenue
Derelict house, unoccupied for over 30 years. Locally listed. Built in 1927, possibly to a design by John Soutar, architect to the nearby Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust. The Bishops Avenue
Viewed from the junction with Hampstead Lane. This Southernmost end is a popular parking spot for visitors to Kenwood House and Hampstead Heath. Spaces are at a premium on this hot spring Saturday.
