High Sheldon
The north end of Sheldon Avenue is now a cul-de-sac - see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4529951 Near this northern end of Sheldon Avenue are two blocks of flats with a private entrance. They are known as High Sheldon and this is the northern block.

Housing terrace, Kenwood Road, Highgate
The houses in Kenwood Road were built in 1902 to the designs of E.J. Lovegrove, Hornsey Borough Engineer. An early example of council housing. Lovegrove was also responsible for a similar scheme at North View Road, Hornsey. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2005296

Sheldon Avenue meets the A1
Doubtless at some time Sheldon Avenue had a junction here with Archway Road (A1) and North Hill to the right and Aylmer Road (A1) and Great North Road (A1000) to the left. Safety, as well as preventing Sheldon Avenue being used as a rat-run presumably led to the solution of this stretch at the far north end of Sheldon Avenue being grassed over, turning it into a cul-de-sac.

Kenwood Road and Bakers Lane
Houses on Bakers Lane at the junction with Kenwood Road. Bakers Lane is a three lane section of the A1 at its junction with the A1000 and North Hill. The elderly lady is about to start the climb up North Hill - on a hot afternoon it won't be a pleasant walk.
