Green Lanes N16, looking North
This was taken at the junction of Springdale Road. It is a mile or so away from the two major centres of the Turkish Community (Stoke Newington and Harringay) but from the shops here it is obvious there is a sizeable proportion of Turkish people living near here.

Green Lanes looking towards Newington Green
This is looking towards Newington Green. This is a mile or so away from the two major centres of the Turkish Community (Stoke Newington and Harringay) but from the shops here it is obvious there is a sizeable proportion of Turkish people living near here. Note the skip. This suggests a house is being renovated and an area in the process of gentrification.

Poet's Road Islington
Desirable residential road named for the poet and conversationalist Samuel Rogers (1763-1855) who was born close by. Although highly influential and celebrated during his lifetime his work has since been eclipsed by his contemporaries (Wordsworth, Coleridge, Byron etc.) with whom he associated, along with other major literary figures of the day.
