Meux's Original London Stout plaque, Sir George Robey Public House, Finsbury Park, London N4
A reminder of another age! This plaque, overpainted blue, is on the exterior of the derelict Sir George Robey public house. It has been closed for some time, and an attempted redevelopment was commemced, but has been abandoned. This eyesore was, in happier times, a well-known music venue, more of which may been found at http://history-is-made-at-night.blogspot.com/2010/05/george-robey-lost-london-venue.html

The Clarence (closed), Seven Sisters Road, N4
Renamed in the 1960s the Sir George Robey. It is unclear whether the building is being converted or demolished here. It looks as if conversion has been abandoned. The building certainly was gone a few years later.
