Factory Chimney by the New River
At first glance this could be an industrial canal scene. Except that as a purpose made water supply channel the New River is only around 1 ft. deep. Dug in the early 1600s, the New River still supplies around 8% of London's water. http://www.thameswater.co.uk/17250.htm

OCC Chimney
The chimney of a former confectionery works. OCC stands for Oriental Carpet Centre, but I think the premises as a whole are used by others as well.

The New River near Seven Sisters' Road
The New River was opened in 1613. It brought drinking water into London form the countryside to the north. The chimney was part of the Maynard's Wine Gum factory that finally shut in 1998. The buildings are now used by a carpet warehouse (OCC-Oriental Carpet Company).Note the white rectangular mobile phone transmitters on the chimney and the transmitter and buildings at Alexandra Palace in the far distance.
