The Oakdale Arms no more!
This building site is on the junction of Hermitage Road and Oakdale Road (on the right).
This was the site of a large public house, now the plot is being developed for housing. Only the pub sign remains.

Factory Chimney by the New River
At first glance this could be an industrial canal scene.
Except that as a purpose made water supply channel the New River is only around 1 ft. deep.
Dug in the early 1600s, the New River still supplies around 8% of London's water.
