As well as fruit, vegetables and groceries, this shop has a bakery on site. The baklavas (Middle Eastern pastries) are truly delicious -- an extra one is never enough. See the counter here Image Although it's Good Friday the streets are busy. The day has little significance for the Muslim majority, while for much of the Eastern Orthodox church Easter is still 5 weeks away this year.

Green Lanes Haringey (3)
This area has many Turkish people, and many of the businesses on Green Lanes are owned by, and cater for, the local Turkish community. There are numerous restaurants on this road, such as the Mizgin (shown with the yellow sign), offering tasty and inexpensive Turkish dishes.

The roads just off Green Lanes are known locally as "The Ladder", and a quick look at the A-Z shows why. Photographer was standing on Green Lanes looking towards Wightman Road. The houses in this picture are substantial family houses.
