Bowes Park station
For the first fifty years of its existence Bowes Park on the line from Moorgate and Kings Cross to Enfield (and eventually Hertford) was a very busy station. But with the opening of Bounds Green tube station nearby in 1932, its business declined somewhat.

Coming Onto The Depot
A Grand Central class 180 'Adelante' unit pauses as it enters Bounds Green Depot. The unit will have operated empty from King's Cross via the slow lines before crossing over the main line using the Hertford Loop bridge and reversing at Bowes Park Station. In the background, Alexandra Palace dominates the skyline with its transmission antenna.
