Alexandra Palace Station
A First Capital Connect Class 365 electric unit passes northbound through Alexandra Palace station under the watchful eyes of some railway enthusiasts. The 365s are often referred to by commuters as 'Happy Trains' because of the shape of the grill on the front.

Alexandra Palace station
The Great Northern Railway opened its line between Maiden Lane and Peterborough through what is now Alexandra Palace station on 7th August 1850, but the GNR only opened a station here on 1st May 1859. At that time it was called 'Wood Green', being renamed 'Wood Green (Alexandra Park)' in 1864. The station reverted to its original name of 'Wood Green' on 18th March 1971, but was again renamed, when it became 'Alexandra Palace', on 17th May 1982. One of the extremely scruffy-looking, half repainted trains leaves the down platform bound for Welwyn North.

Old Station Building, Alexandra Palace
Located in Alexandra Park, this building appears to currently be in use as an engineering store. I believe that it was originally associated with the entrance to the down side goods sidings, the access road to which is still used by Network Rail today. The building looks to be built in the Great Northern Railway style. Further research is needed.
