Winchmore Hill station
This shows the 'up' (southbound) platform. Until 1965 the staircase on the 'down' side of the station was approached through a gabled entrance similar to the one on the 'up' side, hence the asymmetrical look of the buildings. The station was opened by the Great Northern Railway in 1871.
