Interior of St Andrew's Church at Totteridge
St Andrew's was rebuilt in 1790. It has an aisless nave of brick and an attractive bell-turret. The west porch dates from 1845. The Jacobean pulpit came from the chapel at Hatfield House. The stained glass is late 19th century. See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5147217

Totteridge Village
The road was called Totteridge Lane but was split into a number of variations as the houses only had names and no numbers so made it easier to locate them.

St Andrew's was rebuilt in 1790. It has an aisless nave of brick and an attractive bell-turret. The west porch dates from 1845. The Jacobean pulpit came from the chapel at Hatfield House. The stained glass is late 19th century. In Nairn's London (1966) Ian Nairn said: "Totteridge village, at the east end of the ridge, is restrained, expensive, and not really remarkable except for the sweet weatherboarded tower of the church, built 1790 and not looking a day over eighteen."
