Interior of St Andrew's Church at Totteridge
St Andrew's was rebuilt in 1790. It has an aisless nave of brick and an attractive bell-turret. The west porch dates from 1845. The Jacobean pulpit came from the chapel at Hatfield House. The stained glass is late 19th century. See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5147217

St. Andrew's Church
Located beside the A5109 Totteridge Village, it is believed that there has been a church on this site since 1250 although the current building is 18th century. It was probably originally called St. Etheldreda's, the dedication of the Hatfield Church to which it belonged. The name would appear to have changed over time to St. Audrey's before finally becoming St. Andrew's sometime around the 17th century. Currently the church falls within the Diocese of St. Albans. The wooden tower is unusual in this part of London / Herftordshire and the design of the building reminds me more of a Methodist church.
