St Silas and All Saints church, Pentonville
Other contributors have submitted many photos of this Anglican parish church, but what none of them spotted (or failed to mention) is the solar PV tiles on the roof. They are virtually the same colour as real slates, so not obvious at first.
The church is grade 2 listed (list entry number 1208241). It was started in 1860 to the designs of Samuel Sanders Teulon, and completed 1863 by E.P.Loftus Brock; the chancel was added in 1884. It has since been divided internally but retains the organ on the west gallery.
The man walking towards me in the photo turned out to be the Churchwarden, who kindly showed us round the church.

Demolition of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School
