City Road Basin, Regent's Canal
The City Road Basin is a former industrial site, which fell into decline in the 50s and 60s. Now benefiting from a multi-million pound project to create public access to the waterway.

City Road Basin
This galvanised steel fencing appears to be a pretty effective deterrent to anybody trying to squeeze past. In fact, during the daytime at least it is now possible simply to walk through an open gate along this side of the basin.

This broad basin off the Regent's Canal is just about as close as the canal network gets to central London. Redevelopment in recent years has dramatically changed the look of this canalside area

Diespeker Wharf, Graham Road, Islington
