Camden Passage is home to some unusual specialist shops, many of which keep unusual opening hours. The African Waistcoat Company was closed in this Friday lunchtime view but next door a stall selling various items of ladies' clothing was in full swing.

Free Comedy at the Camden Head
'Always funny, always free' and recommended by Time Out, London's venerable listings magazine, so it must be good. The Camden Head is a pub located on Camden Passage in Islington - and not in Camden at all.

Camden Passage, Islington
The northern end of Camden Passage opens out on Islington Green. It is a narrow characterful street with a range of rather individualistic shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a few market stalls. Antiques and bric-a-brac is a recurring theme with a selection of china on display in the foreground. Beyond that is a shop dedicated to African waistcoats.
