Petherton Road Islington
This broad street has a tree-lined strip of grass running down the middle to accommodate the underground New River, once an open stream but covered over since the road was developed in the second half of the C19.

Just Before Lunch at Barnes Motors
Another shot of this old garage in Petherton Road, now turned into a restaurant.
At 11:30 on a Sunday morning they had opened up, but nobody was in yet.

Way beyond the remit of Geograph, but well worth a read just for the author's flamboyant views on Complimenting Toast, Feats of un-sqiddish squiddity, and throwing restraint to the wind with Beef Rump. All done in an ambience of neo-industrial spaciousness.
