Green Lanes Methodist Church, London N16
The building shown here replaced the gothic style church on the same site c1960. The southern border of the property is situated over the site of the New River, which had formerly passed underground in pipes at this point.

New River Cafe at the corner of Clissold Crescent and Stoke Newington Church Street, opposite Clissold Park. The name indicates that the New River passes under here. This was constructed in 17th century to bring drinking water from Hertfordshire to London.
