Sisters' Place, Stoke Newington
The house immediately beyond the dental surgery in Church Street was one of four built around 1714 and remains a typical London house of the time. It is thought the terrace was so-called because the houses were once occupied by four sisters. There was an earlier mediaeval mansion on the site, built in the C14 for Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford.
