Brunswick Park N15
This is the site of the old Seven Sisters station on the branch line to Palace Gates. It stood on curving brick arches like those of the surviving station in the background. The ghastly/ghostly tower block arises in the background. See also Image

Birstall Road London N15
The twin lift shafts go up in the distance where a tower block of expensive flats will arise opposite Seven Sisters tube station to dominate a previously low rise urban landscape. If Cross Rail 2 is authorised the house in the foreground and all its neighbours on that side of the road will be demolished for a Seven Sisters Crossrail station entrance. Odd that Cross Rail 2 is proposed to tunnel under the route of the abandoned above ground and built upon Seven Sisters to Palace Gates line that once started just behind the trees.

Roslyn Road cloudscene
Looking down Roslyn Road to the railway arches on which sits Seven Sisters station. Overhead the odd shaped cloud is, I believe, called cirrus vertebratus. It looks like a fluffy insect about to land.

Seven Sisters Station At Night
It was quiet because no trains were running due to engineering works but the cloud scene caught my eye. I used a blue filter to accentuate the eerie feeling evoked by twilight and the absence of people. The tower block now has occupants (renters as the flats failed to sell) and a few lights were on. Contrast this shot with my photo Image taken three years ago.

Roslyn Road to Southey Road Closed Alleyway
This alleyway was closed and abandoned some years ago on the grounds that it had encouraged criminality and anti-social behaviour. Since closure it has filled up with litter and a buddleia tree has taken over this entrance on Roslyn Road. Just behind the tree inside the alleyway there remains a modern lamppost that no longer works.

Seven Sisters railway station, Greater London
Opened in 1872 by the Great Eastern Railway on its line from London Liverpool Street to Broxbourne. View south towards Stamford Hill and London. Between 1878 and 1963, this station was the junction for the short branch to Palace Gates. The branch platforms would have been behind the platform building on the right, but are long gone.
