Distance
1
Birstall Road London N15
The twin lift shafts go up in the distance where a tower block of expensive flats will arise opposite Seven Sisters tube station to dominate a previously low rise urban landscape. If Cross Rail 2 is authorised the house in the foreground and all its neighbours on that side of the road will be demolished for a Seven Sisters Crossrail station entrance. Odd that Cross Rail 2 is proposed to tunnel under the route of the abandoned above ground and built upon Seven Sisters to Palace Gates line that once started just behind the trees.

Seven Sisters railway station, Greater London
Opened in 1872 by the Great Eastern Railway on its line from London Liverpool Street to Broxbourne. View south towards Stamford Hill and London. Between 1878 and 1963, this station was the junction for the short branch to Palace Gates. The branch platforms would have been behind the platform building on the right, but are long gone.
