Canonbury 1st railway station (site), Greater London
Opened in 1858 as "Newington Road & Balls Pond" on the North London Railway's line from Dalston to Willesden Junction, this station was renamed Canonbury in 1870. It was replaced later in 1870 by the current Canonbury station, some 350m behind the camera position (see Image View E from the Newington Green Road overbridge. No trace remains.
