Boris Bus on Ball's Pond Road, Islington
This is on Route 38 from Hackney Central towards Victoria Bus Station (beside the Railway Station). This bus is one of the eight new NB4L Wright Gemini 2's have been bought for the route. The modern 'routemaster' bus is also known as Boris Bus, it was designed to replace the 'hated' bendy buses.

D.I.Y. Store, Balls Pond Road
At a time when the D.I.Y. business is increasingly in the hands of retail chains, it's heart-warming to see that the independent retailer, in the shape of C. Demetriou Zingas, is still alive and well in the Balls Pond Road. Would the window dressers of Homebase or B & Q have the imagination and flair to display their wares in such an individual and whimsical way? I have to admit to a drive-by whilst waiting at the traffic lights - but I *was* the passenger. This window display was just irresistible.
