Entrance to Lulworth Court, Cannon Hill, London N14
Looking across Cannon Hill we have the small roadway which is the entrance to Lulworth Court. Lulworth Court is the Southern Wing of what used to be Arnos Grove, subsequently Southgate House while it was the offices of an insurance company and now divided into Lulworth Court residential flats in the southern wing and the Beaumont Nursing Home in the northern wing.

Gateway to clapboard house, Cannon Hill, London N14
Gateway to this lovely wooden white painted 18th century clapboard house. This was originally the stables and coach house Cannon House next door, which is now used for a social club for St Monica's Church. These buildings are a reminder of how old this part of Southgate actually is.

The Hermitage, Cannon Hill, London N14
Some years ago the 18th century Hermitage, one of the few thatched houses in London, was at risk of demolition and redevelopment. It was saved and for a while was two dwellings. I understand that it is once again a single dwelling. Looking at this building, it is hard to believe we're in a London suburb.
