Crown Lane as seen from the traffic island. The back of Station Parade can be seen on the right and a menswear shop on the left. Note all the pigeons sitting on top of the building on the right. Resourceful birds, they're kept off the station and the lamps by wires, but they still find somewhere else!

The New Crown, Southgate
The New Crown on Chase Side was opened as a branch of the J. D. Wetherspoon chain in January 1996. The building once served as a Sainsbury's supermarket. It was named after an earlier pub called The Crown which was located opposite the current building and was demolished in the 1960s.
