Almeida Street, Islington
Almeida Street runs to the west of Upper Street and is home to the Almeida Restaurant, an upmarket affair serving French cuisine whose formally laid tables make a faintly surreal sight on the pavement.

London Plane in Battishill Gardens
The London Plane is commonly found in the squares and parks and on the streets of London. It is the ideal city tree, able to cope well with pollution and restricted root space. London Planes are readily recognisable by their peeling bark; this one in the secluded Battishill Gardens has a bird nesting box attached to it.
