Dowrey Street, Islington
This short street off Richmond Avenue leads to part of the New River College, in use on this date as a polling station. There were no elections in London but polling stations were open for the referendum on the alternative vote (AV) system. Interestingly, Islington was one of only ten local authority areas in the UK to vote 'yes'.

Milner Square, Islington
An elevational view of the south-east corner of Milner Square, built c. 1841 to the design of Roumieu and Gough. The vertical banding of the windows, the extensive stucco trim to the brickwork and rounded outside corners all seem to look forward to the neo-classicism of the 20th century.
