Raising the Roof
Big views out eastwards from up on this viaduct on what was once a railway to Alexandra palace.
Now a foot and cycle way, it opens up a vista towards Docklands and the new developments around the Olympic Park at Stratford.

Alexandra Palace Branch Viaduct
The viaduct carried the line over St.James's Lane between Cranley Gardens and Muswell Hill stations. It has 17 arches, most of which continue to provide homes for businesses.

The Royal Oak, St James's Lane
Modern replacement of a much older beerhouse. On more than one occasional it has been beerless due to snow on the steep hill.

Hillfield Park, off Muswell Hill Broadway
Some of the side streets to the south of the Broadway drop away very steeply, giving a view much like that from a low-flying aircraft. Here the view is south-east, across suburban rooftops towards Stoke Newington.
