Bridge over Broughton Burn
The bridge for Dreva Road over the Broughton Burn. The book 'Peebles Through Time' by Liz Hanson (Amberley Publishing, 2011) includes a photograph of this scene showing a ford where the bridge now stands, with a footbridge on the right. The road bridge was built in 1923.

Broughton Smithy commemorated
Two houses were built here on Dreva Road in 1922 on the site of the village smithy. This stone plaque is over a doorway. (Information from 'Village Trails in Clydesdale and Tweeddale' by Rosemary Turpie and Ian Gilchrist, Quothquan Trails 2015).
