Two houses were built here on Dreva Road in 1922 on the site of the village smithy. This stone plaque is over a doorway. (Information from 'Village Trails in Clydesdale and Tweeddale' by Rosemary Turpie and Ian Gilchrist, Quothquan Trails 2015).
