The footpath seen here leads from the ancient settlement of Segenhoe near to Image] through fields to Ridgmont, where the much newer Image] (&Image]) points its steeple to Heaven. Note also the water tower a little way to the south of the church at SP97633593

All Saints, Ridgmont : North Porch
Although I've called this the North Porch, the church is not well aligned to the usual East/West axis, being at least 15º out. Quite noticeable amidst the gloom of this avenue was the bright pinprick of light emanating from the keyhole of the doors which can just be seen in this image.

This Victorian church with a fine spire was built to replace the old church of Image This new church was built and consecrated in 1854-5 from designs by Sir George Gilbert Scott. (see Image] for his most famous building).
