Public house on Newport Road (A5130). Modernised, with use of local stone, but retaining some wooden beams. Back bar, with eating and drinking areas front and right; background music, wood-burning stove, garden. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Black Sheep Bitter, Sharp's Doom Bar.

Old Milepost, Newport Road, Wavendon
Cast iron post by the A5130, in parish of WAVENDON (MILTON KEYNES District), Newport Road; by The Wavenden Arms (formally Leathern Bottle) PH, against pub wall, on South-West side of road. Grundy iron casting, erected by the Hockliffe & Woburn turnpike trust in the 19th century.
