Bexon Lane, Bredgar
The hedge beside the garden of this house has alternate red and green leaved flowering shrubs and looks quite striking when in full leaf. The pink buds on the red-leaved bushes are opening ahead of the white ones on the green - the owner tells me they are a prunus but he's not sure which one. Bredgar Village Hall
The original W.I. Hall stood on Primrose Lane and was destroyed by fire. This hall, on Bexon Lane, was built in the 1960s and has been extended twice since then. It is immediately adjacent to the village school who use it for serving lunch, PE and other activities. Apart from the W.I., other regular users are the indoor bowls club.
