Nearly missed footpath. On Spade Lane, near Oast House. Leads to London Road, A2 across field of Christmas Trees. Only visible when walking up road southwards.

The footpath goes through this gap in the hedge. The rather overgrown orchard is small red apples, variety unknown. In the background are the Spade Lane fruit and vegetable cold store warehouses.

Looking towards Spade Lane. The orchard on the right of the picture looks very overgrown. There are many small red apples rotting on the ground. Many orchards in this part of Kent have now been dug up.

The building on the left used to be a Little Chef, it is now the offices of this Kent based commercial vehicle dealers. The three car dealers on this section of the A2 are the only buildings along an otherwise rural stretch of road. See also Image
