The railway forms the northern boundary of Twydall (pronounced twiddle) which is a small community between Gillingham and Rainham. The Kingsferry Coach Company garage is behind the fence on the left.

The Will Adams NHS Treatment Centre (2), Twydall
On Featherby Road. Named after Will Adams, the Gillingham born, Elizabethan Samurai nobleman, he is a contemporary of Sir Francis Drake. He is still revered in Japan as 'the Blue-eyed Samurai' and founder of the Japanese Navy. He is the 'Shogun' original of the popular television serial drama, and the James Clavell novel of that name.

Footpath works, Twydall
This path is beside Beechings Way. The old slab path is being replaced in sections by a new thin tarmac path laid over a rolled stone path. This is less likely to crack due to the nearby large trees (and associated roots!).
