Parade of Veterans Flags, Armed Forces Day
The Great Lines Heritage Park was used on Saturday to host Medway's annual event to commemorate the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces. A military parade (of Sea Cadets, Royal Engineers and others), then followed by the parade of the veterans, was held through the park to this bandstand. Then the Padre of the Royal Engineers (based in Chatham) read out the service and prayers.
