Dock Road, Chatham - Closed for Armed Forces Day Parade
This normally busy road is between Chatham Dockyard and central Chatham. It has been closed today Saturday 27th June 2009 for the first ever Armed Forces Day. The Historic Dockyard in Chatham is hosting the main event for this day. It is starting with a Tri-service Celebration Parade. Which starts from Fort Amherst, marches through Chatham centre and then along Dock Road before entering the Historic Dockyard. Medway Council has given lots of viewers of the parade flags to wave.

Tri-Service Celebration Parade on Dock Road, Chatham
The Band of HM Royal Marines, Portsmouth is leading the first ever parade of the tri-services on the first ever Armed Forced Day on Saturday 27th June. This parade is marching from Fort Amherst, through central Chatham, and then along Dock Road (closed for the day), towards the Historic Dockyard, Chatham as the main event host of the Day.
