The Hilter Nrdn public house
I am sure the owner of the Chiltern Hundreds will replace the missing letters on the front of the pub soon...
The pub gives its name to the roundabout that it faces, and is a very well known local landmark - and also a popular pub!

The "old" A249, from Chiltern Hundreds
Before the M20 was built (about 15 years ago) the road leading out of this picture was the dual carriageway A249 Sittingbourne Road. The line of the old road is clear on modern maps.
Now, the Chiltern Hundreds pub (with its Chef and Brewer sign in the picture) has a new entrance to its car park, (on the left) and an office development called Eclipse Park is still under construction (on the right).

Chiltern Hundreds roundabout, Maidstone
The course of the A249 has altered quite a bit in recent years but the Chiltern Hundreds roundabout must still be negotiated to leave the town by the main road to the north. The new building under construction at the right of the picture is Eclipse Park office development behind which lies the Hilton hotel.
