Row of old trees
I think these may be black poplar, they had a few remaining small, spade-shaped leaves, I can't imagine the purpose of this row which separates off a very small field between East Wood and Church Road. The nearer two are hollow, showing signs of regrowth within the hollow shell and evidence of woodpecker drilling.

Hockley cottage
A pretty 15th century cottage on the east side of Hockley Road in the extreme SW corner of the square. The original cottage was the black, jettied part on the right, probably a one-up-one-down (with a ladder between floors). Odd that the roof on the newer left part was not made to the same line and pitch. Further groundfloor extensions to both left and right have catslide rooves.
